Curls of Infinite Canvas Print

I am always taken in by the beautiful lines that are found deep in the sand dunes in Death Valley. This image is special to me in that it attempts to show just how large and overwhelming standing on these dunes can be. Visually documenting those dunes and all their glowing glory, makes me feel privileged to be part of showing others what beauty surrounds us, if we just look up.

Having a Grandfather who was an artist, an uncle who was a pioneer of mid-century modern architecture and a father who was a painter, ensured that JoAnn Silva was surrounded by inspiring art at a young age. Her grandfather created a studio in his home for his young grand daughter and at the age of three JoAnn Silva began painting, igniting her life long obsession with all things visual. However, it was during her years studying at Point Loma High School that she began to formally learn the skills of a trained artist. This formal training and disciplined approach to painting, photography and design continued as she pursued a Degree in Fine Art at the United States International University in San Diego.
